This could make sense because in the trailer we hear her saying “Gregory, your friends are worried about you” and this could be Vanessa trying to find Gregory, and when she says “It was just a glitch” and other things it could be glitchtrap speaking through her as Vanny. Then in the end we find out we were Vanny when glitchtrap finally fully takes over us. And us trying to find the lost child is also secretly our “alter ego” (Vanny) trying to go kill him. Like we think that we are just a normal security guard trying to find the lost child, and maybe we even hear Vanny talking because glitchtrap is slowly taking over us. Also, if we can play as the security guard in the game, like if we switch between Gregory and Vanny, and if she is Vanny, I don’t think we will find out that we are Vanny until near the end. I was right with the security guard being Vanessa which we can see from the security guard and Vanny being in the statue together and it’s called “Vanny & Vannesa”, but we still don’t know if Vanessa is Vanny. I had a theory that Vanessa was Vanny, and maybe the security guard was Vanessa as a twist when I first saw the box art for the statue.
In FuhNaff’s video about the new statues, I posted a comment about my theory on Vannesa the security guard and Vanny. MatPat guessed in his latest theory that Vannesa (the security guard) and Vanny are the same person and that Vannesa might not even know or won’t want to kill people.
